I designed the artwork for Alistair McGowan’s acclaimed The Piano Show, a unique fusion of classical piano performance and world-class comedy. Known for his BAFTA-winning impressions and stand-up, McGowan combines heartfelt renditions of pieces by composers like Chopin, Debussy, Satie, Glass, Gershwin, and more with his trademark wit and spot-on impressions, creating “the classical concert you’ve always wanted to see.”
The show follows the success of his No. 1 classical album The Piano Album and has toured to venues across the UK, delighting audiences with beautiful music (and the occasional self-deprecating mistake), laugh-out-loud comedy, and an irresistibly warm, entertaining evening.
This project aimed to bridge the worlds of classical elegance and comedic brilliance in a visual identity that reflects Alistair’s multifaceted talent. Delivering full promotional artwork including posters, digital assets, and branding materials that captured the show’s playful yet sophisticated blend of music and humour.
