Waiting for Gateaux is comedy play set in the worst health & fitness club in the country, a place where a group of clientele with nothing better to do, meet in a small hall in the middle of nowhere. This club is a place where you can quite literally have your cake and eat it!
When it came to designing the key artwork collateral for the production’s marketing campaign I decided to embrace the phrase attributed to Marie Antoinette ‘Let Them Eat Cake’, so I created a bespoke title treatment that looked like it was made of cake complete with a cherry on top. This title treatment was integrated into the space of a retouched photoshop composited scene. The colour palette was chosen to complement to the title and the depicted comedic characters.
